<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an optical fiber cable capable of appropriately controlling housing state of an optical fiber ribbon unit in accordance with the changes in locus of SZ-slot on a slot rod. <P>SOLUTION: When manufacturing an optical fiber cable, a locus of a housing slot is detected by a slot locus detector disposed at the upstream side in a longitudinal direction than an optical fiber cable housing position to house the optical fiber ribbon unit. Positional alignment between the housing slot and the optical fiber ribbon unit being fed though an alignment dices is performed by reciprocally rotating the alignment dices with the optical fiber ribbon unit around the slot rod based on the slot locus detected by the slot locus detector. The optical fiber ribbon unit is twisted by the rotation of the alignment dices. When any change is detected in the slot locus by the slot locus detector, the rotation amount of the alignment dices is offset. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
