A functional panel (FP) comprises a COM board (4) and an SEG board (3) that face each other, and the functional panel (FP) is bonded to a display panel (LP) using an adhesive (BO). The COM board (4)distant from the display panel (LP) comprises opposite edges (E1·E2). The SEG board (3) close to the display panel (LP) comprises an edge (E3) extending along the inside of the edge (E1) when viewed from the top, and an edge (E4) extending along the inside of the edge (E2) when viewed from the top. Owing to this, outside defects can be effectively prevented.
