<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of reducing disturbance on a screen when performing a gradation processing of a moving image. <P>SOLUTION: The image display device includes: a display part 110 that displays an image by pixels aligned in a two-dimensional matrix; and a gradation conversion part 120 that executes a gradation converting processing by using an error diffusion method. The gradation conversion part 120 partitions an area in which the pixels 112 are aligned, into virtual partitions 121A and, when the gradation converting processing is executed with respect to the pixels 112 within a virtual partition 121A, carries out the error diffusion exclusively for the pixels within the virtual partition 121A, thereby carrying out gradation conversion for the image which is displayed on the display part 110. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
