A brake fade determination device (7) determines whether a fade state of a brake device (11) that brakes a wheel (2) of a vehicle (1) is occurring on the basis of the deceleration of the vehicle (1) and the slip amount of the wheel (2). A braking system (6) includes: the brake device (11) that is able to adjust a braking force that acts on the wheel (2) of the vehicle (1); and a controller (7) that controls the braking force to control the slip condition of the wheel 2. The controller (7) determines whether a fade state of the brake device (11) is occurring on the basis of the deceleration of the vehicle (1) and the slip amount of the wheel (2), and adjusts the amount of increase or decrease in braking force on the basis of whether the fade state is occurring.
