<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid-jet head and a liquid-jet apparatus which can enhance print quality by preventing spaces from being left around a reinforcing plate for suppressing variations in liquid-jet characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid-jet head includes: a flow channel unit 5 in which multiple nozzle openings for jetting a liquid are arranged in parallel on one side and pressure generating chambers communicated with the nozzle openings are provided; a case 4 that is fixed on the side opposite to the side on which the nozzle openings of the flow channel unit 5 are opened; and a piezoelectric actuator that is provided on the side on which the case 4 of the flow channel unit 5 is fixed and produces a pressure change in the liquid in each of the pressure generating chambers. The case 4 is made of a resin molding material, and a reinforcing plate 60 composed of a plate-like member is buried in the case 4 along the direction in which the nozzle openings are arranged. On a side face of the flow channel unit 5 of the reinforcing plate 60, multiple cutouts 68, which penetrate in the thickness direction and are opened on the side, are provided along the direction in which the nozzle openings are arranged. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
