Disclosed are a hanging appliance for a stacker and a stacker provided with the hanging appliance, which comprises: a support frame (1) fixed on the portal frame of the stacker; a main beam (3) fitted on the support frame (1); a first side beam (4) and a second side beam (5) respectively fitted at the ends of the main beam (3), with the first side beam (4) and the second side beam (5) being respectively provided thereon with a first locking device (6) and a second locking device (7) for locking a container (9). At the lower ends of the first side beam (4) and the second side beam (5), there are respectively provided a first telescopable container carrying device and a second telescopable container carrying device, and both of the two telescopable container carrying devices have a telescopable part which can extend in the direction of the container (9) hung by the hanging appliance and can retract backwards. During the process of a container being lowered into a container truck from above by the hanging appliance, the two telescopable parts do not interfere with the walls of the truck, so that a container can be loaded and unloaded normally when the container truck is fitted with walls.
