The motor vehicle has an internal combustion engine (10) for rotating a crankshaft (12), which is coupled with a drive train on a side of the internal combustion engine for a wheel. The crankshaft is coupled with an electric machine (16) on another side of the internal combustion engine over a planetary gear (22). An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a motor vehicle.
