<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the brightness of a display image, which a viewer feels, concerning a stereoscopic image display system. <P>SOLUTION: A display switching timing between a left-eye image and a right-eye image on a display panel 150, a light shielding switching timing between incident light to a left eye and incident light to a right eye by shutter spectacles 190, and a luminance change timing in an illumination device 210 by an illumination control circuit 200 are controlled by synchronization. Thus, the apparent brightness of a display image, which a viewer feels, is improved without generating crosstalk and flicker in a stereoscopic image nor lowering the brightness of the circumference of a television 155 by the illumination of the illumination device 210. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
