PURPOSE: A method for status monitoring of a cutting machine by using a current value of a spindle drive motor is provided to monitor the status of cutting on a real time basis including rotary speed and transfer speed as a current being consumed in a motor is measured by installing a current sensor in a spindle drive motor. CONSTITUTION: A method for status monitoring of a cutting machine by using a current value of a spindle drive motor is as follows: A rotary speed and transfer speed of a spindle drive motor of a cutting tool are input to a cutting machine(S01). Cutting operation is started by the cutting machine. Whether or not a current value measured in the current sensor is below a reference value is determined by a controlling unit. The reference value is empirically calculated by a precedent test based on the relation between the rotary speed, the transfer speed, and a current. When the current value is not below the reference value(S03-NO), an alert is generated by the controlling unit(S04).
