PURPOSE: A contact type tonometer is provided to improve the accuracy of measurement by reducing the size and the number of components. CONSTITUTION: A contact type tonometer includes a prism(10) for measurement, a lever(12), an adjustment handle and a torque control device. The torque control device includes a lever pivot(30), a weight(40) and a weight position control unit(50). The prism for measurement is connected to one end of the lever. The lever pivot is connected to other end of the lever. The lever and the prism for measurement are rotated due to the rotation of the lever pivot.
