Disclosed is a wireless transmission system which efficiently determines the presence or absence of mobile station devices on standby. If there is a possibility that there is a mobile station device on standby within the tracking area of a base station, the base station uses changes in broadcast information parameters to request random access from the mobile station device, and then determines the presence or absence of a mobile station device on standby based on whether access is made or not. |
