PURPOSE: A washing machine and a pump filter included in the same are provided to effectively filter the foreign materials of the washing water and reduce accumulation and growth of the foreign materials. CONSTITUTION: A washing machine comprises a pump case. The pump case comprises an inlet room, a circulating pump room and a drainage pump chamber. The washing water of a tub flows in the inlet room. The circulating pump room is installed at one side of the inlet room in order to provide the washing water to the tub. The drainage pump chamber is installed at the opposite side of the inlet room in order to discharge the washing water to outside the main body. A pump filter(150) is installed in the inlet room in order to filter the foreign materials of the washing water.
