PURPOSE: A song accompanying device for updating authentication information which determines whether a stored song is played and an update method thereof are provided to update authentication information in the song accompanying device. CONSTITUTION: A pack information receiving unit(120) comprises a first connection terminal. The first connection terminal connects a new song authentication pack. The pack information receiving unit receives new song authentication information. A control unit(190) reads the new song authentication information received from a new song authentication pack through the first connection terminal. If the read new song authentication information is valid, the control unit updates authentication information of an authentication information storage unit using the read new song authentication information. The control unit permits play of song information stored in a song storage unit wherein the song information corresponds to the read new song authentication information. |
