<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a remote radio unit autonomously search a free frequency. <P>SOLUTION: A radio base station device 1 includes a baseband unit 2, and a remote radio unit 3 connected to the baseband unit. The remote radio unit 3 comprises a detector 61 for detecting the level of a received signal, and a control unit 63 for performing detection processing of the signal level by the detector 61.
