<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric device in which disconnection of a side electrode does not occur, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: A piezoelectric device 100 comprises: a piezoelectric frame 10 including a piezoelectric vibration piece 101 having excitation electrodes 102a and 102b formed on one main surface Mi and the other main surface Me, and a frame 106 having extraction electrodes 103a and 103b spaced apart by a through opening 104; and a base 12 having a mounting surface M3 on which a bonding surface M2 and external electrodes 122a and 122b are formed, castellations 124a and 124b formed from the bonding surface to the mounting surface, and side electrodes 123a and 123b formed on the castellations and connecting the extraction electrodes and the external electrodes.
