The invention relates to an X-ray detector that is suitable for imaging or dose rate measurement. For this purpose, a hybrid photoactive layer lies between a first electrode (5) and a substrate (8). The hybrid photoactive layer comprises a plurality of scintillators (2) and a bulk heterojunction (4) and is designed to carry out indirect X-ray conversion. The bulk heterojunction (4) absorbs the scintillation radiation so as to form electron-hole pairs which are electrically detected. The production is preferably carried out by means of a spraying process, in particular a co-spraying process of a bulk heterojunction solution and a scintillator particle suspension.
