Hybrid drive for use as e.g. internal combustion engine of passenger car, has hydraulically powered energy converter and combustible gas powered energy converter cooperated with each other and assigned to energy-storage systems

The drive has a hydraulically powered energy converter e.g. pump or motor (22), and a combustible gas i.e. compressed natural gas, powered energy converter cooperated with each other. The energy converters are assigned to two energy-storage systems. The energy-storage system of the hydraulically powered energy converter comprises a high pressure storage (24) and a low pressure storage (26). A region of a compressed natural gas tank receives fluid for hybrid drive while another region receives combustible gas for gas-powered drive. An independent claim is also included for a method for driving a motor vehicle with a hybrid drive.
