<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector and a method for assembling an optical connector, which facilitate assembly of the optical connector. <P>SOLUTION: An optical connector 1 includes a ferrule member 6 with a ferrule body 14 for holding a built-in fiber 13, a sleeve 7 for holding the ferrule member 6, and a rear housing 9 that is coupled to the sleeve 7 and to which a coated optical fiber 3 connected with the built-in fiber 13 is introduced, and a male screw 16 of the ferrule member 6 is screwed to a female screw 23 of the sleeve 7 to fix the ferrule member to the sleeve 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
