PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel lipopeptide compounds.

SOLUTION: This invention relates to: the novel lipopeptide compounds which have antibacterial activity; pharmaceutical compositions of these compounds and methods of using these compounds as antibacterial compounds; methods of producing the lipopeptide compounds and intermediates used in producing these compounds; and methods of treating bacterial infections in a subject in need of treating the bacterial infections caused by gram-positive bacteria and the like, including a step of administering to the subject a composition containing the lipopeptide compounds.
