<p>Thermal power plants generate large quantities of fly ash, posing serious problems in disposal of fly ash on one hand and cause land degradation on the other hand due to reliance upon coal extracted from coal -bearing regions under land. Conventional use of fly ash being limited on scale, the present invention magnetizes fly ash, imparting magnetic activity and adding economic value to fly ash for use as a soil conditioner by passing it through a magnetizer under controlled conditions. Good results are reported in terms of higher yields from field trials for most crops.</p> |
