<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering the metal salt of 6,6'-(ethylenedioxy)di-2-naphthoic acid from an aromatic polyester waste including a 6,6'-(ethylenedioxy)di-2-naphthoic acid component. <P>SOLUTION: The polyester contains 100-1 mol% of the 6,6'-(ethylenedioxy)di-2-naphthoic acid component represented by formula (1), 0-99 mol% of the other dicarboxylic acid components, and alkylene glycol components. The method for recovering the metal salt of 6,6'-(ethylenedioxy)di-2-naphthoic acid sequentially includes: a process (a) of reacting the polyester with at least one metal compound selected from the group consisting of alkali (earth) metal hydroxides and alkali (earth) metal carbonates in the coexistence of water or glycol; and a process (b) of recovering the metal salt of 6,6'-(ethylenedioxy)di-2-naphthoic acid from a reaction product obtained by the process (a). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
