<p>To provide a top-emission type organic electroluminescent element that can be manufactured at low cost, has long life, and is suitable for lighting and a manufacturing method for the same, a first electrode (3) formed from a transparent material, an organic EL layer (4), and a second electrode (5) formed from a transparent material are laminated in that order on a metal substrate (1). Also, a light path length adjusting layer (2) is provided between the metal substrate (1) and the first electrode (3), and the wavelength range of the light to be extracted is broadened by the action of this light path length adjusting layer (2).</p> |
