<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a determination method capable of determining reusability of a substrate for producing a carbon nanotube (CNT) by a simple method, and classifying efficiently whether the substrate is reused as it is to serve for production of the CNT or the substrate is to be subjected to a reproduction processing, and to provide a production method capable of producing the CNT stably at high yield by using, for CNT production, the substrate subjected to the reproduction processing as the need arises based on a determination result. <P>SOLUTION: The determination method of the substrate for producing the CNT includes a step in which a CNT is formed on a catalyst of a substrate having a board and the catalyst layer provided on the surface of the board, and then a contact angle to water of the catalyst layer of the substrate obtained by exfoliating the CNT from the substrate is measured. The production method of the CNT includes a step in which reusability of the substrate is determined based on the determination method, and a step in which a CNT is formed on the substrate subjected to the reproduction processing as the need arises based on the determination result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
