PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material including arranged nano-particles in a predetermined pattern, a process of arranging the nano-particles in a predetermined pattern, and a nano-particle material.

SOLUTION: The invention relates to: preparing a plurality of nano-particles 104 and a matrix material 108; arranging the nano-particles by an applicator 106; and orienting the plurality of nano-particles 104 in a predetermined pattern within the matrix material 108 by applying a magnetic field.
