<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanning image display device that can prevent deviation in the timing of laser beam scanning by a scan unit and stabilize a displayed image. <P>SOLUTION: The scanning image display device includes: a light source unit that has a plurality of light sources emitting light beams different in color from each other according to an image signal and combines the light beams emitted from the light sources to emit one light beam; a scan unit that two-dimensionally scans the light beam emitted from the light source part; a light detecting unit that is installed in an invalid scanning area outside a displayed-image forming area within an area of light beam scanning by the scan part and detects the amount of inspection light emitted from the light source unit for detecting the scan timing of the light beam from the scan part; and a control unit that controls the amount of inspection light based on the amount of the emitted light of respective colors of the inspection light and the amount of inspection light detected by the light detecting part. The control unit controls the amount of emitted light of the respective colors of the inspection light according to a predetermined condition that defines the emission priority of the light sources. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
