<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a division circuit with a small circuit scale. <P>SOLUTION: A division circuit of the present invention includes: a register that stores dividend data and has an even-numbered bit width; and a shift division part for calculating high-order bit data in a case where the bit width of the register is divided so as to allow a high-order side bit width to be the same as a low-order side bit width as a quotient when division is performed by maximum divisor data to be expressed by one-half of the number of the bits of the register. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
