METHOD FOR PRODUCING PRINT HAVING FOIL IMAGE AND TONER IMAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a print for obtaining good adhesiveness between a foil transferring toner image and a transfer foil layer and having no stripe detect in a foil image even when a final toner image is produced by an electrophotographic image forming method on an image supporting body having the foil image formed on the foil transferring toner image.

SOLUTION: The method for producing a print includes steps of: producing a print having a foil transferring toner image on an image supporting body; laminating a transfer foil layer face of a transfer foil on the foil transferring toner image face of the print and heat-pressurizing; cooling the heat-pressurized print and the transfer foil and then stripping a base film of the transfer foil to form a foil image having the transfer foil layer on the foil transferring toner image; and producing a final toner image on the image supporting body having the foil image formed thereon, by use of an electrophotographic image production apparatus. The toner used for the foil transferring toner image contains a resin prepared by using a vinyl monomer expressed by general formula (1) and a polyvalent metal compound.
