An electronic receipt server comprises an interface, a data store, and a processor adapted, on receiving receipt data associated with a customer purchase transaction from a first entity, to generate a reference associated with the customer purchase transaction, store the receipt data in the data store in association with the reference and return the reference to the first entity, and on receipt of a request comprising the reference from a second entity, to send an electronic receipt to the second entity, the electronic receipt being associated with the reference and presenting the customer purchase transaction according to the receipt data. |
