PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid transfer device and a liquid transfer method capable of transferring liquid to a sheet with sufficient density even immediately after starting an operation.SOLUTION: A liquid transfer method performs: a plate drum transfer step S1 in which, while a rubber drum B, a plate drum P and an impression drum I are separated from each other, and the impression drum I, the plate drum P and the rubber drum B are rotated, ink is transferred from an ink application roller R to the plate drum P, and the ink from the ink application roller R is transferred so as to be further layered onto the ink transferred to the plate drum P; a blanket drum transfer step S2 in which, when the rubber drum B is oppositely brought into contact with the plate drum P and the ink on the plate drum P is transferred to the rubber drum B, the transfer to the rubber drum B from the ink that is layered onto the plate drum P and is transferred is initiated, and the ink from the plate drum P is further transferred so as to be layered onto the ink transferred to the rubber drum B; and a sheet transfer step S3 in which, when the rubber drum B is oppositely brought into contact with the impression drum I and the ink on the rubber drum B is transferred to a sheet of the impression drum I, the transfer to the sheet of the impression drum I from the ink that is layered onto the rubber drum B and is transferred is initiated. |
