<p>A method and system to assign a mobile node to a router in a wireless multihop mesh network. A request from a mobile node to join the network is received. A server is notified of the request to join the network, and transmits a positive response to the mobile node upon establishing a connecting between the mobile node and network, and then generates an association record between the mobile node and a router. The association record is then recorded and it is determined if a previous association record exists between the mobile node and at least one other router. If previous association record exists, then a message to suppress any association record between the mobile node and the at least one other router is sent.</p> |
