PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a method for controlling the same are provided to rapidly and conveniently search a specific part of a moving picture. CONSTITUTION: A control unit displays a moving picture of a video content on a touch screen(S31). The control unit displays two or more sub images of the moving picture on the touch screen with a main image(S32). If the first sub image is touched, the control unit converts the first sub image into a sub reproduction image(S33).
