PURPOSE: A gate valve for a vacuum collecting system of food waste is provided to prevent the odor of food waste from leaking through gaps of a valve body. CONSTITUTION: A gate valve for a vacuum collecting system of food waste comprises an upper plate(4), a valve housing(8), a valve body(20), a plunger(34), a crank arm(26), and a nut body(40). The upper plate comprises an upper connection pipe(2) and a power box(10). A lower connection pipe(6) is formed in the valve housing in one body. The valve body is engaged between the upper plate and the valve housing to open and close the lower connection pipe, and comprises a cam groove(24). In the outer circumference of the plunger, a spiral protrusion group(38) is formed and a yoke(36) is radially extended. The crank arm comprises a boss(30) connected with power source receiving in the power box and an output terminal interlocking with the yoke. A screw groove is formed in the inner circumference of the nut body to couple the spiral protrusion group.
