PURPOSE: A light guide plate, a manufacturing method thereof, and a backlight unit using the same are provided to improve picture quality by appropriately controlling the intensity of light emitted from the light guide plate and a progressive direction of the light. CONSTITUTION: A light guide plate(300) comprises a transparent substrate(310) and a coating layer(320). The coating layer is formed at the upper surface of the transparent substrate. The coating layer comprises a first pattern(321) and second patterns(322). The first pattern is composed of a repetitive structure of a ridge and a valley. The second patterns are formed by cutting a part of the surface of the ridge in order to induce light from the first pattern. The second patterns are in a direct line according to a traveling direction of a wheel. |
