摘要 <p>Stereoscopic images photographed with a small disparity have a weak stereoscopic sense or sense of perspective in the photographic subject, and a low level of stereoscopic image quality. A stereoscopic image capture device (1000), which carries out an image compensation process on a stereoscopic image formed from a first viewpoint image and a second viewpoint image, comprises a depth acquisition unit and an image compensation unit. A depth acquisition unit (103) acquires, on the basis of a position relation between a first pixel which is a pixel of the first viewpoint image and a second pixel which is a pixel of the second viewpoint image which corresponds to the first pixel, a photographic subject length, which is the length from a photography point to a point in three-dimensional space corresponding to the first pixel and the second pixel. An image compensation unit (104) carries out a shading enhancement process which carries out a tone conversion of a pixel of interest which is an object of processing respectively for the first viewpoint image and the second viewpoint image. Then the image compensation unit (104) adjusts the degree of process enhancement of the shading enhancement process on the basis of the photographic subject length of the pixel of interest.</p>
