<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an erroneous discrimination of a wheel position with a trigger signal reception intensity of a transmitter of a punctured tire being nearly the same as that in transmitters of the other wheels, when a wheel is not placed in a regular position due to a tire blowout. <P>SOLUTION: A wheel position detecting device discriminates, in which of a plurality of wheels each transmitter is installed, on the basis of reception intensity data stored in a transmission frame from each transmitter, that is received by a receiver, in relation to that reception intensity of the trigger signal in each transmitter is larger, as a distance from a trigger device to each transmitter is shorter, and in each transmitter, the reception intensity data memorized beforehand is stored in a transmission frame as a value that is smaller than the reception intensity of the trigger signal received by the wheel in the regular position, instead of measured reception intensity data when air pressure detected by a sensing section is a prescribed pressure or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
