<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that uniformly determines an operation mode for each power conversion unit in accordance with a processing state of a communication unit so as to reliably obtain a power-saving effect. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a communication unit that includes a plurality of types of devices; a power supply unit that includes a plurality of power conversion units and applies one or a plurality of types of drive voltage to each of the devices; a storage unit that stores a plurality of types of control tables in which an operation mode for each of the power conversion units is determined in advance in accordance with a processing state of the communication unit; and an output control unit that recognizes a processing state of the communication unit and causes each of the power conversion units to operate in the operation mode based on the control table. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
