<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum pyrolysis processing apparatus which enables continuous processing of liquefaction and carbonization of waste mixed with plastic, synthetic rubber, etc., without requiring segregation even in municipal solid waste, etc., so that high quality liquefied/carbonized products can be obtained. <P>SOLUTION: The vacuum pyrolysis processing apparatus (dry distillation apparatus) for continuous pyrolysis processing of waste, etc., under reduced pressure includes a hermetically sealable vacuum pyrolysis chamber (vacuum dry distillation chamber) 9 and an external heating means (heating furnace) 51 for heating the vacuum pyrolysis chamber 9. The vacuum pyrolysis chamber 9 is formed from a horizontal tube 25 and a rotary stirrer 19 is disposed within the horizontal tube 25, so that a charged raw material can be moved back and forth by rotating the rotary stirrer 19. Raw material feeding means 5, 7 and a product discharge means 58 are connected to the vacuum pyrolysis chamber 9 while having two-stage valves 11, 12 (or 62, 63), respectively.
