<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for reinforcing a square steel pipe column, which can effectively suppress a decrease in yield strength and maintain deformation performance, even after local buckling. <P>SOLUTION: A restraining means 2 faces each of four side surfaces 11 of a square steel pipe column 1 via a gap S from at least one of sides of outer and inner surfaces 11A and 11B, so as to be capable of restraining buckling deformation of the at least two side surfaces 11. This can suppress a drastic decrease in yield strength of the square steel pipe column 1 and secure deformation performance of the square steel pipe column 1 even after local buckling. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
