METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING GASKET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a gasket having stable sealing property over the entire periphery by suppressing reaction force of a molding part after connection when both ends of an extrusion part are connected to form an annular gasket.

SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the gasket includes: an extrusion molding step of forming an extrusion part having a hollow seal by extrusion molding; a connection step of forming a connection part by connecting both ends of the extrusion part; and a molding step of arranging the connection part in a predetermined mold and molding both ends together with an unvulcanized material arranged between both ends using a mold. The connection part is formed by inserting the ends of a connection piece made of a material softer than the extrusion part into the hollow seal parts at both ends of the extrusion part, respectively.
