PURPOSE: An engine balance shaft is provided to improve the working efficiency by forming an oil passage in a balance shaft. CONSTITUTION: An engine balance shaft comprises a shaft part(1) and a journal part(2). The shaft part has eccentric center of gravity and comprises an indentation hole(10). An oil passage is formed in the center portion of the shaft part in the longitudinal direction. A balance gear(4) is fixed in the indentation hole. The oil inflow passage connected to the oil passage is formed in the journal part. The journal part is composed of a plurality of journals.
