<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unmanned carrier travel controller capable of reducing labor and cost for reinforcing roads and delivering cargoes without failure even if special casters are not used, and an unmanned carrier. <P>SOLUTION: A travel control apparatus 7 includes: two guide sensors 3, 4 provided on one side and the other side of a vehicle body 2 in the travel direction, respectively, and outputting signals relative to displacement from a travel guide 10; and a steering control unit 8 for executing steering control based on the signals output from the guide sensors 3, 4. The steering control unit 8 executes the steering control in such a manner that, until a vehicle has traveled a prescribed distance or a prescribed period of time has elapsed after switchback, the displacement of the guide sensor 3 on the front side in the travel direction becomes a preset target displacement other than zero and the displacement of the guide sensor 4 on the rear side in the travel direction becomes substantially zero. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
