<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resistance film type touch panel eliminating the need of wiring for applying voltage to other resistance films by using wiring for applying voltage to one resistance film while being capable of detecting a position of a contact point. <P>SOLUTION: A position detection method of a touch panel comprises the steps of: sequentially selecting two detection side resistance films 13 adjacent to each other as one pair from the plurality of detection side resistance films 13 at different timing while shifting the plurality of detection side resistance films 13 one by one by switching resistance film selecting switches x<SB POS="POST">1</SB>through x<SB POS="POST">12</SB>and route setting switches s<SB POS="POST">1</SB>through s<SB POS="POST">11</SB>and further applying voltage thereto; reading current values flowing through the pair of two detection side resistance films 13 adjacent to each other via a pressure side resistance film 14 as a voltage value Vt applied to a reference resistance R; and, in a case where the voltage value Vt is equal to or more than a predetermined voltage value, detecting y-coordinates of positions, at which the pressure side resistance film 14 is brought into contact with the plurality of detection side resistance films 13 and is electrically conducted thereto by pressure of a pressure side transparent substrate 12 based on the voltage value Vt, and further detecting x-coordinates based on positions of the pair of two detection side resistance films 13 adjacent to each other at reading timing thereof, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
