<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify each magnetic disk medium and perform failure analysis and quality management for each transfer condition without increasing the manufacturing cost. <P>SOLUTION: A magnetic disk medium with both surfaces thereof having been pre-formatted by magnetic transfer has sectors having the same sector number arranged at positions which have been previously associated with information on a determination object and are shifted by a predetermined angle, on the front and rear surfaces.
