OPTICAL INFORMATION RECORDING/REPRODUCING METHOD AND OPTICAL INFORMATION RECORDING/REPRODUCING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holographic memory device capable of suppressing a phase detection error in a pixel boundary of two-dimensional page data and of detecting phase information with excellent signal quality.

SOLUTION: An optical information recording/reproducing device comprises: a first phase modulating section applying phase information to individual pixels of signal light such that the individual pixels thereof are not in opposite phase to other pixels disposed in the vicinity thereof in vertical and horizontal directions so as to generate page data during a recording; an oscillator light generating section for generating oscillator light being overlapped with diffraction light from a holographic recording medium so as to interfere during a reproduction; a second phase modulating section applying the phase information to the oscillator light; and a light detecting section detecting interference light generated by overlapping the oscillator light with the diffraction light from the holographic recording medium.
