<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating liquid for impurity diffusion for screen printing which has excellent stability and can provide excellent printability e.g. even during long-time continuous printing. <P>SOLUTION: The coating liquid contains: (A) a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin having a 1,2-diol structural unit represented by the general formula (1); (B) a group 15 element compound; and water (C).
