<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve further power saving by not only stopping part of an internal circuit in a communication device but also stopping a communication unit in the communication device. <P>SOLUTION: In a communication system in which nodes, each of which has a normal mode and a power saving mode, are connected with each other via a LAN cable and perform peer-to-peer communication, each node includes: first control means responsible for control of communication with another node; second control means responsible for control other than control the first control means is responsible; and clock supply means for supplying an operation clock to the first control means. The first control means comprises: receiving means for receiving a power saving mode switch signal transmitted by a hub; transmitting means for transmitting a signal indicating mode switching to the hub; state transition means for instructing the transmitting means to transmit the signal, and also for instructing the clock supply means to execute mode switching; and detection means for detecting whether or not a voltage change of the LAN cable exceeds a predetermined threshold value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
