<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid circulation device configured such that when the circulation of liquid in a nozzle is started, a change in pressure on the nozzle is restricted. <P>SOLUTION: In the nozzle 11, while ink is held in a meniscus state, a difference pressure in circulation (-2,500 Pa(G)) is caused between the supply side pressure and recovery side pressure in the nozzle 11 during circulation to circulate ink. In this case, while a supply side valve 22 and a recovery side valve 26 are closed, the difference pressure between the supply side pressure and recovery side pressure is made lower than the difference pressure in the circulation (is made to be substantially zero). Then, the supply side valve 22 and recovery side valve 26 are opened.
