Use of the FGF-2 and anosmin-1 proteins for predicting the histopathology of the lesions of a patient suffering from a central nervous system (CNS) demyelinating disease by means of the detection of the amount of said proteins in a sample of isolated biological fluid. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a method for ascertaining the histopathological characteristics of the lesions of a patient suffering from a CNS demyelinating disease and to a kit for implementing said method.
