PURPOSE: A communication circuit and a method for controlling sampling are provided to improve reliability of received data by increasing the number of sampling clocks during a 1 bit period. CONSTITUTION: A communication circuit comprises a received data sampling circuit(12), a communication control circuit(13), a majority decision circuit(14), and a reception data storage register(15). Communication data is inputted from a transmission line to a terminal(11). The communication data is provided to the received data sampling circuit and the communication control circuit. The communication control circuit generates a sampling clock for sampling the communication data by detecting a start bit included in the communication data. The majority decision circuit performs the majority decision of sampled first, second, and third received data during a 1 bit period. The majority decision circuit supplies the received data of a value, which is determined in majority, to the reception data storage register. |
