The method involves weaving a three-dimensional fibrous structure (300) by weaving wires and/or metal strands (301). A fugitive insert (50) is incorporated in the fibrous structure. An assembly formed by the fibrous structure and by the fugitive insert causing agglomeration of metal wires of the fibrous structure is isostatic hot-pressed around the fugitive insert so as to obtain a massive part. The fugitive insert is chemically attacked so as to break the insert and to form an internal cavity in the massive part to obtain a hollow metal reinforcement of leading edge or trailing edge.
